Respect is a group of volunteers that assist the local municipality in
more humane care of street dogs and cats pitifully sheltered in an ancient
prison. Since 2001 Animal Respect has a dogshelter where they take care of 180 dogs. But they are understaffed and underfunded in all their operations. One way to help them is by donating money. The lenght of the trip is between 25 and 30 minutes. The first bus leaves from Aghia Marina to Aegina Town at 07:00 and the last bus that goes back to Aghia Marina from Aegina Town leaves at 19:45. The bus terminal in Aegina town is situated in the square near the harbour, where you can puchase tickets from the information booth. |
